The 5 Best YouTube Channels on How to Learn Affiliate Marketing in 2024
Affiliate marketing has many moving parts. And although you can successfully kick off an affiliate site just by experimenting yourself, you’ll save yourself a lot of frustration and time by learning from the best in the business.
Here’s the challenge though: the internet is filled with SEO and affiliate marketing guru’s. A lot of them are snake oil salesmen, to put it kindly. So in order to help you kick off your affiliate marketing journey with the help of some great affiliate marketing influencers, I’ve put together this article.
Starting with affiliate marketing by checking free YouTube channels is a great way to dip your toes into the affiliate waters when you aren’t ready yet to commit to a paid course.
Some of the below channels are more honed in on affiliate marketers than others, which may focus more on earning money through ads. The latter kind however still offer a lot of useful insights for (aspiring) affiliate marketers.
So without further ado, these are my 5 favorite YouTube channels(in no particular order) on how to learn affiliate marketing.
Best YouTube channels on affiliate marketing
Matt Diggity
Matt Diggity’s name is pretty much synonymous with affiliate marketing. This is for good reason: his course on and community around affiliate marketing is one of the best in the industry.
Matt covers all bases of affiliate marketing: selecting a niche, doing keyword research, CRO, link building and upgrading a niche site to an authority website. His insights are based on rigorous tests – not hunches – and have proven to be of great value to 1000s of affiliate marketers.
His YouTube channel is a great resource for affiliate marketers from all skill levels. It’s great for when you’re completely new to affiliate marketing, but you also hear of many veterans how upped their skill levels through Matt’s insights.
Most of his videos are short and snappy, often clocking in between 2 and 20 minutes. Although sometimes he takes a more in-depth approach through recordings of his webinars or long-form interviews. Among the topics are link building for a new website, how SEO silos work and how to make more money by improving your CTAs.
Some of my favorite videos from this channel:
- Matt Diggity Reviews Gear Hungry [Affiliate SEO Audit] – In in-depth audit of a former extremely popular affiliate site that completely tanked
- SEO Profession Tier List – Ranking the Entire SEO Industry. Tongue-in-cheek video that you’ll love if you have spent any significant time doing SEO
Authority Hacker
Mark and Gael from Authority Hacker is the only (current) duo on this list. This duo structure gives their videos an interesting dynamic as you’ll encounter from time to time disagreements, which is helpful for establishing a balanced point of view on affiliate marketing.
Their YouTube content is essentially a video version of their podcast, which means most of their content is long-form. Often 50 minutes or longer. Most of the times it’s just Mark and Gael discussing an issue, but sometimes they bring on guests as well, like Jon Dykstra from Fat Stacks (see below).
Their videos discuss topics such as creating content using AI, how to make money with Amazon Affiliates, how to build white hat links and much more.
Their content is quite long, but extremely engaging. Once you start watching one of their videos, you’ll probably find yourself making it all the way to the end more often than not.
Also make sure to sign up to their free affiliate marketing course.
Some of my favorite videos from this channel:
- Pitching Flippa Websites: Would YOU buy this site? – A deep dive into two very different websites on Flippa and if you should buy them
- 5 REAL LIFE AFFILIATE SITE EXAMPLES (And What You Can Learn From Them) – Low DR sites and what you can learn from them. Especially helpful when you’re new to affiliate marketing
Income School
Income School (previously run by Jim Harmer and Ricky Kesler, now just by Ricky Kesler) takes a bit of a different approach from Matt Diggity and Authority Hacker. The biggest difference is that they put zero focus on link building. They don’t actively build links to their own websites, nor do they tell their students to build links.
Don’t get me wrong: Income School very much believes in the importance of links, but they simply think it makes more sense to inquire them naturally instead of pursuing them.
The other difference is that they actually share their affiliate projects. This is a very unique approach in the world of earning money online. Sharing your websites with fellow affiliate marketers tends to result in more competition, which nobody really needs. Yet Income School put their sites out there for everybody to see.
This transparent approach definitely contributed to generating a huge following.
One thing in which Income School really thrives is teaching you on creating Great Content. This makes sense, given the fact they don’t do any link building. So when checking out their channel, keep an eye out for the videos dealing with that particular topic.
Some of my favorite videos from this channel:
- Write the Perfect Blog Post to Make More Money – Helpful insights in how to create better converting content
- The ONE THING Bloggers Do That Makes Them Fail. Heed this advice when starting your website
Fat Stacks
Although Jon Dykstra from Fat Stacks earns considerably more money from advertisements than from affiliate marketing, there’s still a lot you can learn from him.
Jon Dykstra doesn’t do any link building on the majority of his websites. His focus is on churning out as much content as humanly possible, get a ton of traffic and slap ads on. I’m simplifying things here obviously, but that’s what it comes down to.
All of this means Jon is a master in identifying low competition keywords and targeting the hell out of those.
It’s an interesting philosophy and one will definitely make sense for many online marketers.
Some of my favorite videos from this channel:
- Detailed Niche Site Case Study Breakdown (Earns $3,879/mo.)
- How to write good articles that rank – my 21-point checklist
Passive Income Geek
Passive Income Geek is run by Morten Storgaard. Just like the guys from Income School and Fat Stacks he doesn’t do any link building and overall has a very au naturel approach to SEO. For instance, he doesn’t use tools like Surfer or even SEO plugins like Rank Math.
He also primarily earns his money through advertisements as opposed to affiliate marketing.
His channel is great in particular if the prospect of constantly using SEO tools and building links is daunting to you and you’re looking for a super clean approach to growing your website.

Some of the things that make these YouTube channels great
The internet is filled with content on “how to get rich”, “how to start a blog”, or “how to do affiliate marketing” by people who’s main source of income comes from telling you how to do that. These people are getting rich by telling you how to get rich. A self-fulfilling prophecy which is obviously dodgy.
By contrast, the folks in this overview earn most of their income from actually doing whatever they are teaching. They actively run a portfolio of niche websites.
This is what makes their insights so much more valuable than those from your average internet marketing guru.
Besides that, Diggity et al. all offer an extreme amount of detail in their content. This also applies to their free YouTube content. You aren’t getting bombarded by fluff or vague platitudes. Pretty much every video you find on their channel contains some practical take aways you can apply on your affiliate websites straight away.
The importance of developing a 360 viewpoint on affiliate marketing and SEO
The people that run the above YouTube channels all have a somewhat different angles and approaches to affiliate marketing and SEO.
This is what makes it so interesting to check them all out. You might find out that the one angle resonates more with you than others. This is helpful if at a certain point you’re willing to commit to a paid course on affiliate marketing.
Conclusion
Binge watching a few great YouTube channels on affiliate marketing is a great way to kick off your affiliate marketing journey. But even if you’re a more seasoned affiliate marketer, keeping your knowledge up-to-date through these channels is a fantastic way to stay on top of the game. So check ’em out.
